In the first part of presented article are described technical principles of bottle washing. Some technical advantages and disadvantages of basic types of bottle washers are rewiewed. For current applications the machine with bottle infeed and output port of bottles on the same side is more advantageous. Basic requirements on using of chemical components are defmed by the consideration of physic-chemical and biological processes during bottle washing. Schematically the pass of bottles and water through individual segments of machine is represented. The schema is completed with data concerning the temperature course of washing process.
