The structural and technological survey of malt oven (kiln) in the manor brewery at ®ďár nad Sázavou.Peer-reviewed article

In the year 1924 the manor brewery with a malt plant in ®ďár nad Sázavou had finished its activity. Except brew house all other objects of the former brewery have been preserved up to now. Around the year 1847 in the malt plant was constructed horizontal air kiln as a transitional type of malt oven between classic smoke kiln and air vertical kiln of so called English type. This kiln, very unusual situated in the second floor, has been preserved almost unchanged up to now. Detailed survey of the malt oven should be the basis for emphasize the importance and preservation of this technical monument within the reconstruction of the castle area in ®ďár nad Sázavou.
